A wind of change blows through EHAM’s workshop. With the onset of fall, we welcome our new apprentices, who have made the decision to start their training with us. For both the young talents as well as our experienced team this is an exciting new chapter.

Under the tutelage of our master craftsman, Dominik Würz, and his deputy, Tobi Huber, we welcome Ina Erkenbrecher, Vitus Lange, Jonathan Andersch and Felix Brett to our EHAM family. Not only does the beginning of their time with us mark the start of their careers, but also a new chapter for EHAM. This young team provides us with new perspectives and energy that will enrich our work.

With some of our apprentices having completed their year of basic vocational training in Miesbach and others having taking the big step in moving here for their training, they are now all starting together into their first introductory week. The main focus will be placed on getting to know the tools and team. As a first joint project, they will construct a toolbox. From selecting the wood, including solid oak and elm trees, up to the final gluing, they will get to know all work steps.

In crafts, the devil is in the details: the first creations showcase techniques such as folding in the floor and rear wall or working with a bar hinge. The outer casing of the toolbox will be the same for all apprentices, but they will be able to get creative with its inner workings.

We delight in seeing the joy and zeal our new apprentices show in completing their work. In the upcoming weeks, they will get to know a variety of handicraft techniques, acquire an understanding of wood as a material and become aware of the value of precision.

The future is looking bright and we are excited for all of the wonderful projects and experiences ahead of us. Welcome on board, Ina, Vitus, Jonathan and Felix!
